The Alex From Ecuador Website

Alex from Ecuador is a fundraising website to promote and raise funds for children in Ecuador. The website was created pro bono for Nomie Taylor a volunteer at La Communa – a children’s day care center in Ecuador.

I was the lead interactive designer and Flash designer/programmer on this project.

The website is built completely in Flash and interface is designed with a organic and raw style – in reference to the pragmatic culture and backpacking like lifestyle experience.

Website visitors are presented with different scenes of information and imagery in all the navigation sections, with graphic hot-links also leading website visitors through to various sections.

Additional interactivity is included in the form of an interactive photo gallery.

All the text content and image gallery photos are loaded dynamically – allowing easy editing and updating of the website.

    Currently I am working as an Interactive Designer at Google in London.

    Previously I was a Design Specialist at Nokia.

    Before this I was at BSkyB in the Research & Concept Development team as a Senior Designer.

    Earlier, I spent two wonderful years employed at the BBC in the Future Media & Technology Design team as a Visual/UX and Interactive TV Designer.
