BBC Comedy Extra Series

April, 2009 – BBC

Comedy Extra is the new service from BBC Comedy ‘where you can watch loads of funny stuff’.

The Comedy Extra series has featured a number of high profile comedians, including performances from Stewart Lee, Mitchell and Webb and many others.

Some of the content originally featured as part of the BBC’s red button interactive service. Including Stewart Lee talking to Armando Iannucci about his programme on the Global Financial Crisis.

As the visual and Interactive TV designer on this project I was responsible for the creation and delivery of the required broadcast graphics for each platform with the number of streams available.

BBC Comedy Extra is shown on the BBC ‘Red Button’ with Satellite and Cable viewers able press the red button to watch unique or archived comedy performances.

The design of all ITV products had to be consistent with the ‘BBC Comedy Extra’ branding and complement the existing online graphics.
